We are INTERNSPLUS, we provide internships, host family accommodation, cultural programmes., English language courses to students and graduates.
This statement describes what type of information we collect from you, how it is used by us, how you can manage the information we hold and how you can contact us. We will not send unsolicited junk mail or communications or share your data with anyone else. We do not sell your information to third parties and do not use collected personal information for the purpose of marketing.
What personal data we collect
We may collect and process personal data that you provide us to assist for the purpose of arranging your internship placement, booking accommodation, organising trips/activities, transfers, enrolment in English language courses, support with visa applications.
The personal data will typically include information provided in your Curriculum Vitae such as your name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, educational background, work experience. Other personal information such as portfolios (if applicable), photo I.D, references, police clearance (if required for your placement sector), motivational letter, health/travel insurance, visa, medical conditions, allergies and dietary requirements maybe also required.
Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
You do not have to provide INTERNSPLUS with all of this information but please note if some of the information is not provided, we may not be able to proceed with your application/program.
How we collect and retain your information
This information is provided by the individual, agent, school/college. We endeavour to hold your data only as long as is necessary or until you decide that you are no longer happy for us to process your data. INTERNSPLUS will hold the data you provide safely and securely, all information is destroyed in a secure manner.
During work placements, tourist trips/activities, videos and photographs may be taken of students and teachers. School photos may be used on our managed social media pages and marketing materials.
We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.
How we use your personal information
INTERNSPLUS solely use your personal information to provide our booking team with relevant information to successfully enrol students on language programmes, social activities, work placement programmes and accommodation options.
CV, references, photo I.D., police clearance, portfolio details, visa (if applicable) are provided to host companies for the express purpose of arranging the internship.
Motivational letter is also required by INTERNSPLUS so that we can understand our student’s expectations.
Allergies, dietary requirements medical information are provided to accommodation providers.
If you give permission for your personal information to be used as stated by INTERNSPLUS , you can at any stage change your mind and withdraw your permission.
How can you manage the data we hold for you
You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data, and in accordance with our obligations under General Data Protection Regulations we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly. To find out what Personal Data we hold on you, to request a copy of your personal data or to have your Personal Data updated, amended or removed from our database please contact Lynsey Purdy who is our nominated representative for the purpose of GDPR.
